Traffic Blotter: No Injuries in Collision at Richland Mall Parking Lot

Northern Regional Police Department supplied the following information.

No injuries were reported when two vehicles collided in the Richland Mall parking lot on May 19, police said.

Shelbi Duncan, 18, of Gibsonia, was making a left turn from the Kohl’s parking lot onto the Richland Mall access way when her Chevrolet Aveo collided with a Toyota Camry, according to the report.

The Camry driven by 26-year-old Terri Jones, of Allison Park, was traveling straight on the access road, police said.

Prius Pulls Into Path of SUV on Route 910

A Toyota Prius driven by a 17-year-old Gibsonia resident pulled into the path of an SUV on Route 910 at the North Chapel Road intersection on May 16, police reported.

The eastbound Prius did not stop as it made a left onto North Chapel Road in Pine Township and collided with the westbound Toyota Forerunner driven by Matthew Garabedian, 33, of Allison Park, police said.

No injuries were reported.

 

Honda Slides, Spins and Runs Into Hillside

A Honda Accord ran into a hillside as the 19-year-old driver negotiated a bend on Warrendale Road at Babcock Boulevard in Pine Township on May 13, police said.

Wexford resident Kathryn Gaus was traveling west on Warrendale Road when her Honda started to slide out of control, spun around and went into the hillside, the police report stated.

 

Police Officer Witnesses Two-Vehicle Collision

A police officer traveling westbound on Route 910 around noon May 13 saw two vehicles collide in front of him near the Route 8 intersection in Richland Township, according to a Northern Regional police report.

Officer Timothy Spontak was traveling behind a Pontiac when it collided with a Mazda that pulled out from the Sunoco A-Plus Mart parking lot, the report states.

Melissa Hoge, 23, of Gibsonia, drove the Mazda and Susan Ciccone, 21, of McKees Rock, drove the Pontiac, police said.

At the time of the crash it was lightly raining and the road was wet, the report notes.
