Student Parking Permits To Be Issued Soon for PRHS

Only seniors and juniors will be allowed to park on the campus, which is under construction.

The newly configured parking lot at has not been paved yet, but a plan for issuing parking permits to students is in place.

The parking lot was torn up this summer as moved into high gear in anticipation of students returning to class on Sept. 6, the day after Labor Day.

The lot will be paved before school starts, Superintendent Dr. Mary Bucci assured school board members as they toured the site last week.

New for the 2011-12 school year will be the establishment of parking lot zones, according to the PRSD website

"Student drivers will be assigned to a designated parking lot zone. The color of his/her parking pass will determine the parking lot area. Parking tags will correspond to specific parking lot destinations."

The changes came about because of the campus renovation, increased class sizes, and an increased number of student drivers annually, the website announcement stated.
