Photos, Videos Show Wednesday's Flooding Destruction

Areas south of Pittsburgh were hardest hit.

Patch editors were spread across the Pittsburgh area Wednesday reporting on flood and storm damage.

Scroll through the photos and videos above to see the areas that got hit the hardest.

As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, Duquesne Light reported about 100 customers were without power in Richland Township.

Reader Sharon Scheidemantle said the electricity was out for about two hours in her Franklin Road home in Pine Township and Jennifer Morgan said the Bradford Woods area also lost power.

While rain and clouds dominated the skies in the Cranberry area for most of the day, the evening ended on a stunning note as a rainbow soared above the community. (Click on the gallery for reader rainbow photos).

In the Evans City area, reader A.J. Ayers reported flooding in his yard, which is located about three miles north of the town.

"We also got index fingertip size hail for a short moment," he said.
