Ambulances Called to Traffic Accident on Bakerstown Road in Pine

Ambulances were called this morning to an accident on Bakerstown Road near ,  but details were not immediately available from .

As traffic started moving again and fire trucks and police cruisers left the area, a pickup truck that had crashed into a bush remained at the edge of the Holy Savior Cemetery property.

The accident occurred in the 5000 block of Bakerstown Road, close to the border separating Pine and Richland townships.

In the April 21 accident, a 68-year-old Lower Burrell man, George Kratsas, lost control of his 2006 Cadillac on the wet road as he negotiated a curve, police said.

The Cadillac spun out of control, traveled up an embankment and through the lawn of 5030 Bakerstown Road, crossed the driveway and stopped when it struck a large tree, according to the police report.
