Glenshaw Men Face List of Charges from Various North Hills Police Departments

Two Glenshaw men facing a long list of charges from various North Hills police departments waived their preliminary hearings Friday on charges filed by .

David Landy, 24, and Ryan Marshall, 23 are charged with stealing credit cards, cash, gift cards and drivers' licenses from vehicles at two Pine Township homes after the owners accidentally left their garage doors open overnight in early August.

Both are charged with access device fraud, burglary, receiving stolen property and theft from a motor vehicle. Landy also was charged with identity theft.

Magisterial District Judge Regis Welsh Jr. sent the cases to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Formal arraignments are scheduled for Oct. 20.

The two also face charges filed in August by police departments from McCandless, Shaler and Edgeworth. Marshall was charged in Hampton Township too. Landy faces charges in Ross.

Felony charges against Landy include theft, receiving stolen property, access device fraud, escape and flight to avoid apprehension.

Landy also faces misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, theft from a motor vehicle, criminal conspiracy, false identification to a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Marshall is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, access device fraud, criminal mischief, theft from a motor vehicle, criminal conspiracy and possession. 

In the case brought by Northern Regional Police, the identify theft, burglary and theft charges against Landy were withdrawn, according to court documents. The remaining two charges were moved on to Common Pleas Court.

Landy is charged with stealing from an Osprey Court home, said police. Marshall's charges stem from a theft from a Drake Drive home, police said.

Purchases with stolen credit cards were attempted at the Seven Fields Giant Eagle and the Waterworks Giant Eagle, according to the police report.

"[Police] obtained video from the Seven Fields and Waterworks Giant Eagle stores," the criminal complaint states.

Shaler Township detectives and a Ross Township police officer identified Landy and Marshall after seeing photos from the videos, police said.

All "are very familiar" with the defendants, the criminal complaint said.
