UPDATE: Seven Fields Man Killed after Crashing into Truck on Turnpike in Cranberry

State police identified Anthony Kulesza as the driver in Thursday's fatal accident.

A Seven Fields man died early today after crashing a car into the back of a tractor-trailer truck at a high speed in the eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cranberry, state police said.

Troopers said Anthony Kulesza was driving a 2006 Kia Sorento sport-utility vehicle at about 1:30 a.m. when it crashed into the back of a truck hauling a flatbed trailer loaded with steel.

The driver of the tractor-trailer truck, identified as Mark A. Schlesselman, 38, of Lima, OH, was uninjured, troopers said.

The truck dragged the car for about 300 feet before the car broke free from the truck and stopped. Schlesselman was wearing a seat belt, but Kulesza was not, state police said.

State police continue to investigate. Charges are not expected to be filed in the crash, troopers said. The lanes are open to traffic after being partially closed overnight.
