Woman Charged with Stealing $1,835 in Jewelry from Kohl's Waives Hearing

Jamie Hudak is charged with retail theft.

A Pittsburgh woman charged with stealing 33 pieces of jewelry valued at $1,835 from Kohl's department store in Richland Township waived her preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Jamie Hudak, 29, appeared before Magisterial District Judge Suzanne Blaschak.

Hudak was arrested at the Kohl's store in Ross Township, court documents state.

Ross Township police contacted Northern Regional police after Hudak admitted to thefts from the Ross and Richland stores, the criminal complaint states.

Hudak went to Kohl's jewelry department on March 8, put the jewelry in her shopping cart and went into the store's changing room, according to the criminal complaint.

When she left the changing room, she walked around the store and then exited without making a purchase, the complaint states.

She is scheduled for a Nov. 2 formal arraignment.
