Updated Winter Weather Advisory: 1-3 Inches of Snow Possible in Pine-Richland

The National Weather Service says the most intense snow will fall Friday afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service in Moon has issued a winter-weather advisory for most of Western Pennsylvania, including Allegheny County, from 10 a.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday.

Forecasters say 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible. The snow is expected to begin mid Friday morning and will end in the evening.

  • Friday: Snow, mainly after 1pm. High near 20. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Friday Night: Snow, mainly before 1 a.m. Low around 15. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
  • Saturday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 25. West wind 6 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 10. West wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
