Trial Date for Richland Couple Facing Drug Charges Moves to November

The non-jury trial for 36-year-old Megan Kifer and her 35-year-old boyfriend, Ernest Nicholas, of the same address on Route 910/Gibsonia Road now is scheduled for Nov. 29.

Originally it was scheduled for Tuesday before Common Pleas Judge Anthony M. Mariani.

Nicholas and Kifer are each charged with two felonies—conspiracy and manufacture/delivery/possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver. They also face eight misdemeanor counts of possessing a controlled substance without a prescription.

The couple was charged after a Hampton police detective went to their home in July 2011 to serve a felony drug arrest warrant on 26-year-old Jason Zunic of Allison Park after receiving a tip that he was at the house.

 also were called in. 

As Detective Robert Grondwalski walked through the house on Gibsonia Road to get to Zunic, who was hiding upstairs, he saw what he suspected to be drugs along with drug paraphernalia in the house, according to the criminal complaint.
