Trial Postponed for Pittsburgh Man Charged with Statutory Sexual Assault of Pine Girl

Adam Wagner is charged with four felonies.

The trial for a 22-year-old Pittsburgh man charged with the statutory sexual assault of a Pine Township teenage girl has been postponed for two weeks.

 was scheduled to go before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Jill E. Rangos on Thursday, but the case was postponed until Dec. 15 at the request of the defendant's attorney.

Wagner is charged with four felony counts: statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor, and unlawful contact with a minor — sexual offenses.

In a preliminary hearing in August, the girl testified that she met Wagner on Facebook in the fall of 2010 when she was 15. She turned 16 in July, she said.

After communicating on Facebook, the girl said she spoke to Wagner on the phone and he told her he was 21.

They met in person at Pine-Richland High School's homecoming game in October 2010 and then went to her Pine Township home, where she snuck him in through her first-floor bedroom window and they had sex, she testified.

She testifed that Pennsylvania State Police contacted her in late January or early February to interview her about her contact with Wagner.

Court documents show that a third party contacted police about Wagner after seeing comments on his Facebook account.
