Southbound I-79 Down to One Lane Early Wednesday and Thursday

Single-lane traffic will be in area of the bridge over Mingo Road between Exits 73 and 75 in Marshall Township.

Southbound I-79 will be down to a single lane in the wee hours  of Wednesday and Thursday mornings, PennDOT announced.

Specifically, the single-lane restriction will occur between 3 and 5 a.m. in the area of the bridge over Mingo Road between Exits 73 and 75 in Marshall Township, PennDOT said in a press release.

Crews will be installing and testing concrete barrier anchors as a part of a $10 million project to improve northbound and southbound bridges over Mingo Road and over Warrendale-Bayne Road; the ramp from northbound I-79 to Cranberry (Exit 76), which passes over southbound I-79; and a culvert that carries the east branch of Big Sewickley Creek under southbound I-79 south of Mingo Road.
