What A Bust! Snow Is No-Show

Although up to 4 inches had been predicted, less than 1 inch will likely see the ground.

Although weather experts across the region promised that the rain falling across the area Tuesday would turn into the white stuff by early this morning, those predictions fell short. 

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh even canceled a winter weather advisory that had been issued for 7 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday for all of Western Pennsylvania, including Butler, Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

The weather service had said snow accumulation of up to 4 inches was possible in the Pine-Richland area. But by late Tuesday evening, it had revised the forecast to less than one inch of snow.

Today, Pine-Richland can expect cloudy skies, with a high near 30 degrees and winds out of the west between 15 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is less than 30 percent.
