Route 8 Scheduled for Patching Work This Week

PennDOT plans to work in area from Bakerstown Road to Route 910.

It's dodge-the-pothole season, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is sending crews out to patch roads.

Route 8 in Richland Township is on the weekly maintenance schedule for April 11-15, and that means you should see patch work taking place from Bakerstown Road to Route 910.

PennDOT adds the caveat that "all activities are weather permitting and will occur only if crews are not performing winter maintenance."

It is April, and we sincerely hope they will not have to "perform winter maintenance," but it has been a very long winter in Western Pennsylvania and you just never know.

If you are traveling Route 8 this week, keep in mind that you might see lane closures and restrictions in work areas.
