Rep. Jason Altmire's Office to Conduct Internet Safety Workshop

Public is invited to April 18 workshop.

The Internet can be very useful and informative, but safety and precaution are necessary—especially when it comes to knowing to whom you're talking and what information is shared online.

The Office of U.S. Rep. Jason Altmire and will conduct an Internet Safety Workshop at 7 p.m. April 18.

The workshop, which is open to the public, will take place in the  Auditorium, 440 Presque Isle Drive in Plum.

Representatives from Facebook and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office will present information about responsible social networking, privacy settings, online safety and related topics.

Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Anthony Marmo will discuss Internet privacy and related topics. He is the Western region's civil enforcement officer for technology and computer-based offenses.
