A Section of Pearce Mill Road Caves in
The crumbling stretch of road is just north of Route 910.
A small stretch of Pearce Mill Road appears to be collapsing.
PennDOT has placed barrels around the the area, just north of Route 910, to divert motorists into the other lane.
PennDOT Press Officer James B. Struzzi II said PennDOT is investigating the underlying cause and plans to repair it.

"This is an existing landslide exacerbated by recent rains," he said in an email.
Pine Township's Municipal Building, Northern Regional Police Department's headquarters and Pine Community Park are all located on the section of Pearce Mill Road that is north of Route 910.

An alternate route is the Red Belt (Warrendale Road) to access Pearce Mill Road from its northern end.
