Crews will be shifting traffic onto the newly reconstructed right side of the bridge. Necessary work to complete the shift includes barrier resetting and line painting. Once the shift is completed, two lanes of southbound traffic will be restored on I-79 in this area.

The $10 million project includes deck replacements, latex overlays, expansion dam replacements, substructure repairs, bituminous paving, drainage and guide rail upgrades, pavement markings, culvert cleaning and stream restoration, and other improvements on several I-79 bridges.

All ramps and exits will remain open at this time.

The overall project will be completed in fall 2011. The prime contractor for the project is Swank Associated Companies Inc. of New Kensington.
