National Weather Service Issues Another Flood Warning

More storms move through the area on Saturday.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning at 4:10 p.m. Saturday as yet more thunderstorms rolled through the area.

The warning is in effect until 7:15 p.m. for Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Westmoreland counties. A flood warning means flooding is imminent or has been reported.

"Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected," according to the National Weather Service website.

At 4:08 pm. the weather service reported up to an inch of rain had fallen in the previous hour across the warning areas.

"These same areas received over three inches of rain in the past 24 hours. Additional rainfall is expected over the next several hours," the National Weather Service stated.

"Road flooding can be expected in urban areas. Residents along streams and creeks should be alert for rising water levels."
