Lane Closure Planned Wednesday for Stretch of Southbound I-79

If you plan to travel I-79 southbound on Wednesday, give yourself extra time.

Between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., a lane will be closed on the stretch of interstate between the Warrendale and Wexford interchanges, Exits 75 and 73 respectively, PennDOT District 11 announced Tuesday.

The single-lane closure will allow consultant crews from Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Rigging Co. to conduct bridge inspection activities on the structure that carries I-79 over Wexford Run Road.

This is a regularly scheduled routine inspection.
