Hello, Pine-Richland Readers!

Editor Jessica Sinichak looks forward to getting to know the area better. Will you help her?

On Friday, Cindy Cusic Micco, the founding editor of Pine-Richland Patch, said “aloha” to readers.

Today, I’m also saying “aloha” to Pine-Richland, but in this case it means hello. As the new editor of the site, I’m adding a “let’s get to know each other better” as well.

I’ll go first.

I’ve been editor of your neighboring Patch, Cranberry Patch, since it launched in December 2010. Prior to that, I spent years as a reporter at several different newspapers.

I’m a Duquesne University grad and I live in Cranberry with my husband, John, and our two dogs, Jackson and Tucker.

When I’m not covering stories, I enjoy reading, yoga, trying new foods and (although I kind of hate to admit this) bad reality T.V. shows.

I love Patch because it gives me a great opportunity to connect with the community. Since I began this job more than two years ago, I have met so many awesome people and I have covered so many wonderful stories.

I’m looking forward to expanding my coverage of the Cranberry area and getting to know the Pine-Richland community better. From what I’ve learned from Cindy, you all are a great bunch!

Now it’s your turn.

Tell me, what kind of stories are you interested in seeing on Pine-Richland Patch? What are the issues that are important to you? Do you have a great story idea?

Don’t forget, you are welcome to add your own news and events to the site by taking advantage of our free Events Calendar and Announcement pages.
