Good Friday and Easter in Pine-Richland: What's Open, What's Closed

The holiday weekend brings closings to Pine and Richland.

Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way.

With a major holiday comes closings of area institutions and businesses. Here's a rundown of what's going to be open or closed.

In observance of Good Friday, government offices in Pine and Richland townships will be closed on Friday.

Pine-Richland schools are also closed. School resumes Tuesday, April 2.

Federal, state, and Allegheny county offices and courts including the Department of Court Records, the Court of Common Pleas, the district attorney’s office, and the sheriff’s office will be closed in observance of Good Friday. Offices and departments reporting to the county executive will be open

Friday is not a federal holiday. Banks and liquor stores will be open. All state stores will be closed on Sunday.

The U.S. Postal Service will have regular mail delivery and collection.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver's license and photo centers will be open, although some services will be available on its website.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County's bus, T and incline service will operate on normal schedules on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For more information, see the Pittsburgh Port Authority website.

Pine Community Center is closed on Sunday.

Northern Tier Library will have regular hours.

Giant Eagle Market District will be open until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
