Freeport Road Resurfacing Begins Monday Night in Pine and Marshall

Traffic will be limited to single-lane alternating-use weeknights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through July 29.

Overnight restrictions begin tonight on Freeport Road in Pine and Marshall townships for crews to mill and resurface 1.5 miles from Route 19/Perry Highway to Franklin Road, PennDOT District 11 announced.

Single-lane alternating-use traffic will occur in work areas weeknights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through July 29, PennDOT said.

Overall work will conclude in October 2011.

The project is included in a $3.2 million contract with A. Folino Construction of Oakmont for improvements on several roads in Allegheny County.

PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area. Motorists can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
