Flood Warning in Effect Untll 10:45 a.m. for Streams

Creeks, streams are running high.

A flood warning remains in effect until 10:45 a.m. for urban areas and small streams in Allegheny County, according to the National Weather Service.

As of 7 a.m., local creeks and streams were running high and out of their banks in some areas, the weather service said.

"Two-day rainfall totals of one-and-a-half inches to two inches were reached overnight before precipitation turned over to snow," said the weather service.

The Connoquenessing Creek in Beaver County crested above the flood stage of 11 feet, according to the National Weather Service. It is expected to slowly fall back below flood stage during the morning, it said.

A flood warning means flooding is imminent or has been reported, according to the National Weather Service.
