Township of Pine—Director of Public Works 

Position administers all public works functions including operation and maintenance of streets, drainage, buildings and grounds, equipment and public works contracts. Responsible for winter maintenance operations, accountability of department staff, planning and completion of improvement projects and budget management and preparation.  Requires a team-oriented manager with emphasis on strong management and leadership, long-range planning and financial accountability.

Requires five years progressive public works or related experience, one year of which must be in a supervisory capacity, and two years of college with concentration in Engineering, Public Administration or a related field; OR graduation from a standard high school with six years experience in road construction or related experience, at least two years of which must be in a supervisory capacity. 

Qualified candidate must posses a Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License (Class “B” or higher CDL) and pass pre-employment physical, background check and drug screening and Act 33/34 clearances.  Successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Township municipal building (or be willing to relocate)

GVW Dump Truck, wheel loader, other road equipment; lift & carry 80#; experience maintaining trucks & equipment, and grounds maintenance, minimum two years experience in snow removal & salting roads; live within 30 minutes of township municipal building; high school diploma or GED and valid Class B or higher CDL.  Hours & workweek will vary.  Winter hours will be M-F, 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m..  Hourly rate $19.95/overtime potential.
