This week's restaurant spotlight is on Thai Place, located at 12009 Perry Highway in Pine.
Thai Place has three locations in Pittsburgh, including the restaurant in the Pine Tree Shoppes. It features a wide variety of Thai cuisine and entrees, including standards such as spring rolls, noodles and steamed dumplings.
Thai food is known to be spicy, but well prepared traditional Thai dishes should not be predominantly so, according to the Thai Place owners. Dinner typically consists usually of at least three dishes served with rice. It is recommended the dishes be shared.

Throughout the years, Thai Place has played host to several celebrity diners, including rockers U2, pro tennis player Martina Navratilova and Steelers star Troy Polamalu.
