Health Executive Institute Seminar Set for May 4 at St. Barnabas

The free seminar is open to nursing home administrators, personal care home administrators, department managers and human resources personnel.

“Infectious Diseases and Management Strategies” will be the focus of a Health Executive Institute seminar on May 4 at

Seminar speakers are registered nurses Christine Murphy, Judi Sedivy and Cynthia Thomas of the Pennsylvania Department of Health.  Their topics will include overviews of hepatitis, tuberculosis and norovirus. 

Murphy is a nurse consultant for chronic and communicable diseases. Sedivy is an epidemiology research associate and Thomas is a communicable disease consultant.

The seminar begins at 8 a.m. with registration at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road in Gibsonia/Richland Township. It lasts from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

HEI seminars, arranged by , are submitted to the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and the Department of Welfare for four continuing education credits.
