First Niagara Bank to Open Wexford Branch in Village at Pine

Bank will employ five full-time and one part-time employee.

First Niagara Bank will open its new full-service Wexford branch Tuesday at the Village at Pine.

To celebrate, the bank invites the public to a Family Day from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 9, that includes appearances by Iceburgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins mascot, and Giggles the Clown. Refreshments will be provided.

Asked why First Niagara chose the Wexford location, Branch Manager Arthur T. Clinger said they chose it for a couple of reasons.

"First, it is simply an absolutely beautiful area. It also helps fill a gap in our footprint," Clinger said.

"We have branches in Richland, North Hills, Cranberry and Ingomar, to name a few, and we were missing an opportunity to serve customers here," he added.

The full-service branch offers traditional banking transactions, opening deposit accounts, loans, lines of credit as well as mortgage, cash management, merchant services, insurance and investment services.

To start, the branch will employ five full-time and one part-time employees.

As part of opening festivities, the bank will take entries from Jan. 22 to Feb. 28 for a drawing for an iPad Mini and two $100 gift cards. No purchase is necessary to enter or win the drawing.
