A new movie shooting in the area may be the perfect opportunity for pierogi-loving Pittsburghers to get on the big screen.
WTAE reports Out of the Furnace, starring Oscar-winner Christian Bale, is looking for men of Slavic or Eastern European background to serve as extras in the film.
Men should be age 35 or older and available to shoot on or around May 29, according to WTAE. Extras will be needed on set all day (between 12 to 14 hours) and will be paid minimum wage.
If you fit the bill, send an email with a recent photo (preferably one where you’re not smiling), contact information and age to firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Slavic Man" should be used in the subject line. Casting agents will notify those who have been chosen, WTAE reports.
That’s not only movie in the area looking for extras.
Promised Land, directed by Gus Van Sant and starring Matt Damon and John Krasinski, is looking for “big biker guys” for a bar scene that will be filmed May 15-18.
Extras must be available every day of the shoot. Those with tough mugs should email a photo of themselves, plus their height, weight and contact information, to email@example.com.
