A 'Taste of Pine' to Showcase Delicious Dishes, Wine Tasting

The third annual event benefits the Friends of Pine Community Parks.

Even if you tried really hard, it would be tough to get to 13 places in three hours to taste foods, wines, coffees and desserts ... and not get a speeding ticket.

The third annual Taste of Pine enables you to taste a bit of this and sip a bit of that all in one place——from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27.

"It's a fun evening to try different restaurants in the township. Each (one) is bringing its specialities," said John Gill, chairman of Friends of Pine Community Parks. The nonprofit is hosting the event to raise money for the park and community center.

Tickets are $40 each or 2 for $75. Included is a personalized wine glass and limited wine tasting by La Casa Narcisi. Only 160 tickets will be sold and diners must be 21 years old or older. Dress is business casual.

Child care is available at the community center.

Music will be provided by local disc jockey K2Roadjocks DJ Service Inc.

"It's a chance to get together with friends," Gill said, referring to the event as an entertaining night out during the week where the food is "great" and everyone enjoys the wine tastings.

 Here's a list of participants:

  • Beechers Coffee
  • Betsy Ann Chocolates
  • Dudt's Bakery
  • La Casa Narcisi Winery
  • Zuppa's Delicatessen

Tickets are available at the front desk of Pine Community Center or by calling 724-625-1636 ext. 3.
