I also want to send a shout out to my friend Matt Martin, who is a Lacrosse referee and one of the best in Western Pennsylvania. He officiated last night’s games. He knows every fundamental of the game and keeps complete control on the field. It was great seeing him last night.

That being said please read and take a look below at all the highlights for the Rams:

The Junior Varsity Rams took the field at 6 p.m. against the Indians, but the game quickly went sour and by the end of the first quarter it was 5-1.

The Rams came out firing though in the second and by the end of 2 it was 6-5.

The teams battled back and forth until the games end with only seconds left to a 9-9 tie.

For their first contest it proved these young Rams are ready to take the next step into the season. It made for a great game and was riddled with great highlights for the Rams.

The varsity got a late start and, as the weather turned cold by 7:50 p.m., it made for a rough atmosphere!

The Rams came out strong taking an early 1-0 lead by a goal from Joey Briski but struggled to maintain that lead early and that became an issue all game.

The boys battled all game and really showed they could learn from their mistakes by adding several goals at the end of the game to make a final score of 9-5.

I truly believe though that this score is not a reflection at all of this team. They made a few mistakes and didn’t capitalize on a few opportunities and I think, by the next few games, we will see scores favored in their direction.

Not only are these boys loaded with skill, they have a ton of heart. I look for them to rebound and get a big win against Upper St. Clair next week.
