Girls Lacrosse: WPIAL Playoffs Semifinals Pine-Richland vs Shady Side Academy Highlights 5/22/12

Hey Pine-Richland Lady Rams Lacrosse Fans!

Yesterday the Lady Rams travelled to Martorelli Stadium, home of the North Hills Indians, to take on the Shady Side Academy girls team in a WPIAL Girls Semifinals Playoff match up. This game had everyone on their toes as the last time these two teams faced off in the regular season the teams combined for 34 goals against one another. Unfortunately, for the Lady Rams on April 13th they found themselves on the losing end with a final of 20-14. Tonight, was a different night. Tonight, the girls proved their worth over the Shady Side Academy girls squad to control the game and finish with a final score of 16-11 and will now move on to the WPIAL Division 1 Championship! Please check back on Thursday as the girls will battle it out for the Championship against the Peters Township Lady Indians. If this game is anything like the last time they played it should make for a great game. The last time these two faced off in the regular season the final score was 13-10 with Peters Township coming out on top. Both teams will have a head of steam and it should make for one memorable WPIAL Championship! Check out all the highlights from yesterday’s game below:
