Wanna Be on 'Wheel of Fortune'? Here's Your Chance

The Wheelmobile from the venerable television game show will make an appearance at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino this weekend in search of contestants.

If you've ever dreamed of saying, "I'd like to solve the puzzle, Pat," you'll have a chance to make your Wheel of Fortune fantasy a reality this weekend.

The Wheelmobile—the game show's promotional vehicle—will be at  in  from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday "in search of good game players who are energetic, enthusiastic and fun."

Viewers interested in being a contestant on an upcoming episode are invited to attend.

They will have the opportunity to enter a random drawing to play a simulated version of the game onstage, win prizes and be evaluated as a potential contestant for the broadcast version of the show, according to a press release.

Wheel of Fortune staffers will begin handing out applications one hour before each show begins—with searches being held at 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. (with each one lasting about an hour).

"The Wheelmobile tour gives us the opportunity to present local viewers with a unique and personal experience with the show," Executive Producer Harry Friedman said in a statement. "It's a way for us to thank our viewers for their long-term support and for making the show (number one)."

The event will take place along the racetrack apron at The Meadows. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the new covered parking structure located on the northwest side of the track.
