Tickets for Jackie Evancho's Pittsburgh Opera Appearance on Sale Soon

It is the moment many Pittsburghers have been waiting for.

Tickets for Jackie Evancho’s fall appearance with the Pittsburgh Opera go on sale July 25.

Richland Township’s 11-year-old darling will be singing with the Pittsburgh Opera at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16. Presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural District, the concert will be at the Benedum Center.

According to a release by the Cultural District, this will be Jackie’s first live concert in the Pittsburgh area with the orchestra, chorus and the Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artists.

It has been an exciting year for Jackie, ever since she won the hearts of people everywhere with her appearance late last summer on America’s Got Talent, a reality-talent show hosted by NBC. Jackie came in second, but her popularity continued to skyrocket after the show's finale.

In the past few months, Jackie has released her second CD, Dream With Me. The new CD has topped the Billboard Charts. Produced by David Foster, well-known Grammy-winning producer, the CD also features a duet with the legendary Barbra Streisand and another reality TV star, Susan Boyle, from Britain’s Got Talent.

Jackie has made guest appearances on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Piers Morgan Tonight, The Talk and other shows around the country and in England.

A special interview with Jackie about her new album Dream With Me will be appearing on ABC's 20/20 at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, July 22. 

She also presented the at the Kean Idol Awards in April at the Kean Theatre in Richland.

Jackie’s one-show appearance with the Pittsburgh Opera will include songs from her new CD including When You Wish Upon a Star, and Angel and other selections from the Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artists and the Pittsburgh Opera Chorus.

Jackie fans who don’t live in the Greater Pittsburgh area don’t need to despair as the little singer will also be making appearances in other U.S. cities including: Sun Valley, ID, on July 31; Atlanta on Aug. 5; Highland Park, IL, on Aug. 7; Omaha, NE, on Aug. 26; Dallas on Aug. 31 and then her hometown appearance with the Pittsburgh Opera. 

Ticket prices for the upcoming Pittsburgh appearance will begin at $40. Once the tickets go on sale July 25, they may be purchased through the Cultural District's website, www.culturaldistrict.org, or by visiting the Theater Square Box Office, 665 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh; 412-456-6666.
