Sample Fall Beers at the Mars/Cranberry Craft Beer Tap Fest

Hosted by Double Wide Grill, the event features over 60 craft beers.

Fall is a time for pumpkin pie, fresh apples, cinnamon spice lattes and most importantly, beer.

Embrace the autumnal season and enjoy over 60 craft beers at the first annual Mars/Cranberry Craft Beer Tap Fest, hosted by Double Wide Grill.

The event takes place on Sept. 21 from 1 to 4 p.m in the parking lot of the restaurant.

"We’re very excited to bring a beer event of this scale to the area, especially a craft beer festival which we think really caters to our clientele in and around Mars and Cranberry and our South Side customers as well," said Kevin Brown, Double Wide Grill’s Regional Manager.

Attendees will have the opportunity to try beer from 20 different breweries including Great Lakes Brewery, Penn Brewery, Rivertowne and East End Brewing company. Food will also be available for snacking in the form of regular and fall appetizers prepared by the restaurant.

The first 250 to arrive at the event will receive a customized five ounce sampling glass, which can be used to taste the beers.

Brown says that Double Wide Grill was looking for an event to spice up their autumn repertoire. The beer tasting could not be at a better time, as it also marks the beginning of the official German Oktoberfest.

Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 on the day of the event. The event is scheduled to go on rain or shine, as a weatherproof tent will be set up.
