Jessica Spafford & Johnny Richards Win Kean Quest Adult Vocal Competition

Jessica Spafford of Chicora and Johnny Richards of New Brighton are the Judges’ Choice and Audience Choice winners respectively in the 2012

Spafford performed “Durch Zärtlichkeit und Schmeicheln” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Richards performed “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers in Sunday's competition, formerly known as Kean Idol, at the  in Richland Township.

Each received a recording package with Audible Images, a photo session with Rick Armstrong and feature story in Northern Connection Magazine.

Ken Hawk, with Butler Radio Network, served as master of ceremonies for the event.

Jenene Caramielo of McCandless Township and William Andrews of Pittsburgh are the first and second runners-up respectively.

Twenty-three performers participated in the 2012 Kean Quest Talent Search Adult Vocal Competition, which benefits the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

In 2011, the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund provided nearly $5.2 million to poor and low-income residents at , Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and who otherwise would not be able to afford their care.
