Irish Dancers Kick Up Their Heels in Western Pennsylvania

Teachers, students and graduates of North Hills school preserve ancient cultural tradition.

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Patch brings you a glimpse of local lords and ladies of the dance, courtesy of Bell's School of Irish Dance.

The centuries-old art form flourishes at the North Hills institution, where generations of Western Pennsylvania's children and adults have mastered its intricate steps. During a recent performance at in Cranberry, Patch caught up with Brian Lanni, a certified instructor at the school and quite an Irish dancer in his own right.

On this most Irish of holidays and through the weekend, Bell students and graduates no doubt will be asked to display their dancing skills and preserve long-held cultural traditions.
