The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra will be performing in the Mars Area High School auditorium on April 28, 2011. Doors and Will-Call open at 5:00pm. The Mars High School Jazz Band performs at 7:00pm. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra performs at 7:30pm. Ticket prices are $10 to $30. This is a reserved seat concert. No general admission seats.
The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is a world famous Jazz Band Swing Band that achieved many chart topping hits in the 1930's and 1940's. Along with Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and similar bands, the Dorsey Orchestra was ranked among the top bands of the era, providing quality entertainment to audiences eager for their music. They continue to thrill audiences today with swinging jazz band entertainment.
