Arsenic and Old Lace

The Kean’s “May the Farce Be With You” Broadway Series continues with this classic comedy of murder, mayhem and manners.  Meet the Brewster family. They put the “fun” in dysfunctional. Mortimer is a drama critic that has too much drama in his life. His two aunts have a nasty little habit of poisoning older gentleman and burying them in the cellar. His uncle thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and his brother is a homicidal maniac. Add to the confusion a girlfriend who is growing very impatient about getting married and a policeman who desperately wants to write. Adapted into a Frank Capra movie that made Cary Grant a star.

Sunday September 18 & 25, 2011 $20/$26 matinee only, 2:00 p.m. $39/$45 Kean lunch and show, 12:30 p.m. Call (724) 444-5326 or online at www.keantheatre.com. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
