Worker Injured in Pine Construction Accident
The worker was crushed by a 1,000 pound concrete form.
A construction worker on a new housing plan by Heartland Homes in Pine Township was injured Monday when a 1,000 pound concrete form fell on top of him.
A fellow construction worker on the Pinecrest housing plan, which is located near Logan Road, said the worker was attempting to move the concrete form without a brace when it toppled onto him.
The other workers rushed to lift the 9-foot tall form from his body. They managed to pull him out from under it.

The worker, who was conscious, was yelling in the pain and indicated his leg was hurt, according to those on the scene.
He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

Heartland Homes declined to comment on the accident. Pitell Contracting, the Ross Township-based construction group contracted by Heartland to build the Pinecrest Court home, also declined comment.
