Where to Watch Fourth of July Fireworks

Look to the skies around Pine and Richland townships.

If you are looking to set up a lawn chair somewhere in Pine or Richland townships to watch fireworks this weekend, well ... neither township is offering a display.

There are plenty of displays close by, however. Here are the places where you can take in beautiful displays in the skies around the Pine-Richland communities on Sunday and Monday:

8:15 p.m. Sunday: Hartwood Acres Concert with Musical Fireworks

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert at 8:15 p.m. at the Hartwood Acres Concert Stage, Middle Road, Allison Park.

"Bring your picnic dinner and relax this Independence Day eve at a free Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concert filled with musical fireworks at breathtaking Hartwood Acres!" the orchestra's website says. "PSO Associate Principal Violist Tatjana Mead Chamis will mesmerize with a transcription of Elgar's Cello Concerto, and the evening will conclude with a bang, as Assistant Conductor Thomas Hong leads your Orchestra in Dvorak's Symphony No. 8!"

John, I'm sorry to hear that happened. I just printed it out on my computer and did not have an ad print over it. I will notify our technical people about the problem. -- Cindy
