West View Park Memories Come Alive on Sunday

Cranberry Township Historical Society will have a free program at 2 p.m. with a talk about the beloved former North Hills amusement park.

The Cranberry Township Historical Society is hosting a free program about West View Park at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the council chambers of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

Tom Steiner, who grew up in West View within the sound of the chain on the Racing Whippet "clinkety-clinking" as it pulled cars up the hill, will share his passion for the park. The land where the once-popular amusement park thrilled area residents has become a shopping center.

As most rides require two per seat, please bring a friend. Light refreshments will be served.
