Reenactors To Show How 18th Century Americans Celebrated Christmas at Neville House

Woodville Plantation will offer various holiday events on Sunday.

The holidays are fast approaching, and reenactors at  will demonstrate how Americans celebrated Christmas in the 18th century.

 will play host to its annual Holidays at the Neville House from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The reenactors will give information about the historic house, explain  and offer a candlelight tour in the evening. Visitors can learn how holiday customs such as Twelfth Night, Boxing Day and the firing of the Christmas guns are different from modern-day celebrations.

Costumed guides, holiday displays and traditional decorations will be part of the event.
