PennDOT to Replace Light Poles Saturday on I-279 at the McKnight Road Interchange

Traffic stoppages are planned for both directions.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to replace four high-mast light poles on the Parkway North (I-279) at the McKnight Road Interchange (Exit 4) in Allegheny County will occur on Saturday, weather permitting.

Eight brief traffic stoppages of 15 minutes or less will occur in the interchange area. Both directions will be stopped four times between 8 a.m. and noon. Four northbound only stoppages will occur between noon and 4 p.m.

In addition, the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
