Pearce Mill Road Long-Term Closure Begins Wednesday in Pine

Work is expected to take place throughout the summer.

Long-term closures on Pearce Mill Road in Pine Township begins Wednesday, June 12, weather permitting.

The $2.6 million project will create significant improvements for the traveling public at the busy intersection, according to PennDOT.

Work includes reconstructing and widening the intersection at Route 910 to add turning lanes in all directions, improved drainage, traffic signals and bituminous resurfacing.

Additionally, several slides on Pearce Mill Road will be repaired.

Overall work is expected to conclude this fall. The prime contractor is the Joseph B. Fay Company.

Pearce Mill Road will be closed to traffic in both directions from Route 910 to Brown Road beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 continuously through early October.

Traffic will be detoured. Signs will be in place to guide motorists.

  • Take Route 910 east to Babcock Boulevard (Route 4031)
  • Turn right onto Babcock Boulevard
  • Follow Babcock Boulevard south to Pearce Mill Road
  • End detour

Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays and changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.
