Patch Pet: Meet Bailey the Friendly Dog

German shepherd/beagle mix needs a forever home.

Meet Bailey, a tan and black German shepherd/beagle mix.

At 10 years old, he was found as a stray and taken to Animal Friends where he hopes to find a family to adopt him and give him a new home in which to spend his golden years.

He is sweet and friendly and has the most expressive eyes.

Bailey's favorite toy is a stuffed doll, which he loves to cuddle. He is very playful for his age and enjoys playing fetch in the shelter’s play areas; he will even exchange his ball for a treat or two.

Bailey walks nicely on a loose leash and knows to sit and stay when told. He appears to be house-trained, as his kennel is always tidy and clean.

Bailey is calm and social and gets along well with his other kennel mates.

He needs to lose some weight, so exercising will be important to help him with that goal. He is happiest when receiving attention and affection from the staff and volunteers, and he thinks it's great when they offer a hug while spending time with him.

Bailey is young-at-heart and is ready for a fresh start. If you are looking to adopt a gentle guy who wants a second chance at a forever home, stop by and meet him.
