Empowering Mom: Mom Con Coming to Pittsburgh

The conference is designed to empower and connect local moms.

The first ever Mom Con—a conference to inspire, empower and connect Pittsburgh moms—is being held Thursday, May 23 at the Doubletree Hotel in Green Tree.

Sponsored by Macaroni Kid and Just Between Friends, the event will feature program content from acclaimed speakers and experts on issues facing moms today—parenting, work-life balance and wellness—as well as shopping, pampering and networking opportunities.

The inspiration for The Mom Con came after Natalie Kovacic, a co-founder of the conference, attended a conference for women entrepreneurs in October.

“I realized, there have been so many events for women and entrepreneurs in Pittsburgh, but none of them really addressed the issues that affect mothers, especially mothers who want to do some kind of work while raising their kids,” said Natalie, of Lawrenceville.

Some of the speakers include Coach Jenn Lee, a national speaker, small business advisor, media commentator and life coach; Doctor Gand the Food Mood Girl, author of Junk Foods & Junk Moods: Stop Craving and Start Living! and the newly released Bliss Cleanse.
