Freeze Warning in Effect for Early Morning Hours

Outdoor plants need to be protected.

A freeze warning is in effect during Friday's early morning hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The warning is in effect from 3 a.m to 9 a.m. That means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely, which will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, the weather service states.

A freeze watch will remain in effect for Friday night and Saturday morning, which means sub-freezing temperatures and frost are possible.
