1. Canceled: Pine Board of Supervisors Meeting

Pine Township’s board of supervisors has canceled its meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 1 at the Pine Community Center on Pine Park Drive.

2. Free Movie at Kean Theatre

The Kean Theatre in Richland will hold its Tuesdays@2 and Wednesdays@1 free movie series in July. There is no admission charge.

The movie for Tuesday, July 2 is “The Sessions.” After spending years in an iron lung, a man decides he wants to explore his sexuality for the first time and hires a surrogate to aid the goal. This movie is rated R.

3. Independence Day

Happy Birthday, America! A plethora of Independence Day activities are taking place around the area. Click here to view them all.

4. Tail Waggin’ Tutors

Tail Waggin’ Tutors is a program that gives children a judgment-free environment in which to practice their reading skills with a therapy dog.

5. Summer Reading Club at Northern Tier Library

Northern Tier Library’s Summer Reading Club begins July 1 and features a variety of activities, including baby playtime, Legos + Puzzle club, arts and crafts and much more. For more information, call the library at 724-449-2665.
