Five Things You Need to Know This Week

Patch gives you a rundown of what's going on around the community.

1. Movies in the Park

Attend a free showing of “Space Jam” at dusk, Wednesday, July 17 at Pine Park. Refreshments will be sold at the concession stand. 

An adult must accompany children age 12 and younger. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown the following Wednesday.

2. Pine Board of Supervisors Meeting

Find out in person what’s going on in local government. Pine Township’s board of supervisors will meet for its work session at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 15 at the Pine Community Center on Pine Park Drive.

3. Pine-Richland School Board Meeting

What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Pine-Richland officials meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, at Pine-Richland High School. This will be the first meeting with new superintendent Dr. Brian Miller.

4. Richland Board of Supervisors Meeting

Learn more about what’s going on in the community as the Richland Township Board of Supervisors meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, in the municipal assembly room of the Richland Township Municipal Building, located at 4019 Dickey Road.

5. Pine Community Day

This year’s event kicks off at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Pine Community Park. The celebration includes food and beverages as well as a variety of games and crafts for kids.

Other attractions include a giant slide, jumbo bouncer, hot air balloon, the Eurobungy Trampoline and the trackless train ride.
