Five Things You Need to Know This Week

1. Pine Board of Supervisors Meeting

No meeting this week. Pine Township’s board of supervisors has canceled its 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15 at the Pine Community Center on Pine Park Drive

2. Richland Board of Supervisors Meeting

Learn more about what’s going on in the community as the Richland Township Board of Supervisors meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in the municipal assembly room of the Richland Township Municipal Building, located at 4019 Dickey Road.

3. Yarn Art at Northern Tier Library

Teens are invited to the Northern Tier Library at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 19 to create practical (or not so practical) household items out of scrap yarn. For more information, call the library at 724-449-2665.

4. Autism Support Forum

The Autism Support Forum takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Northern Tier Library.

The forum is geared toward the parents and grandparents of children with autism. Discussions will center on treatments, resources and interventions that have worked (or not!) for our loved ones with autism.

5. High School Career Development Workshop

This workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Chatham University’s Eden Hall campus in Richland Township will highlight careers in the sustainability field, including hands-on career exploration and engaging activities.

Takeaways from this workshop will be an expert resume and cover letter, resume software, and business professionalism coaching by a certified etiquette trainer. The fee for the workshop is $50.
