Annual Breakfast Benefits Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department

A new 100-foot aerial truck is displayed while junior firefighters help serve at fund-raising breakfast.

Pancakes, sausage and cinnamon apples were served up Sunday morning at the Richland Volunteer Fire Department's social hall. Diners were asked to make a free-will offering for the fundraiser. Volunteer firefighters and junior firefighters cooked and served the meal.

Outside, the fire department displayed its new 100-foot aerial truck, which cost $980,000 and will be paid off over the next 10 years, said firefighter John Rudolph.

The department's next fundraiser will be a Monte Carlo night on May 7, said Tina Kelly, events organizer. For information on the department and its fundraisers, call the fire hall at 724-443-3306.
